The VAT number is correctly activated in the Belgian KBO, so there is no issue with the number itself.


However, it is currently not yet visible in VIES, the VAT information exchange system we work with, which is used to automatically retrieve and populate company details when entering VAT numbers.


For Peppol registration, you can temporarily proceed using only the company number. The VAT number can be left blank in the meantime.


As a result, certain details for this customer will need to be entered manually for now. Once the information in VIES has been updated, automatic data retrieval will function again. This process may take some time and is outside of our control.
