Peppol is a system that enables businesses and governments throughout Europe to exchange invoices securely and in real-time. It is a modern alternative to sending invoices by email or post.
Peppol is already widely used by governments and large companies. In Belgium, it is even mandatory to send invoices to government institutions via Peppol. We have ensured that smaller companies can also benefit from this network by fully integrating Peppol into our invoicing package.
Note: the recipient of your invoice must be connected to the Peppol network in order to receive it. This also applies to incoming purchase invoices. If the company or government agency cannot receive invoices via Peppol, you will receive a notification from us when sending the invoice.
The benefits of Peppol
Sending invoices via Peppol has several important advantages over traditional methods:
- Security: Peppol provides a secure way to exchange invoices, reducing the risk of loss or fraud.
- Speed: Invoices are sent and received in real-time, speeding up processing.
- Efficiency: You save time and effort as you no longer need to send or manually process paper invoices.
- Cost-saving: By using less paper and stamps, you reduce costs.
- Automation: Peppol enables the automation of the invoicing process, making your administrative tasks easier and faster.
- Reliability: Emails can end up in spam folders or an incorrect email address may be used. With Peppol, the invoice is sent based on the customer's VAT number, reducing the chances of errors.
